Astoria will always be a my New York home. I lived there for four years right after college. It was my early twenties... I was broke, struggling and exhausted... pretty much the entire time I was there. I was also, however, surrounded by some of my favorite people. Due to this, we found ourselves spending a lot of time inside the depths of our apartments... cooking feasts, playing games and being silly. And we were completely content with doing just that once more, with our Astoria family, that we miss so very much.
Our other favorite thing to do, is to go to brunch the morning after and we have just the spot! Our favorite breakfast spot in Astoria; Vesta Trattoria & Wine Bar. A small italian inspired place, that is dedicated to the neighborhood. From using farm fresh goods from the local green markets to displaying local artwork on there rustic white walls, Vesta takes pride in tradition and family. And we took pride in spending most sunday mornings alongside our fellow Astorians.
