This ain’t your grandma’s pink marmalade loaf.
The cherry blossoms have bloomed and the spring weather has begun to feel like summer, so I felt it was only appropriate to spend the afternoon in the sun sipping tart cheery + watermelon rose cocktails, while reading the new issue of Bon Appetit magazine.
A modern take on an old tradition. I will still always crave a simple tomato based baked beans on a piece of buttered toast, but this lemon and dill white bean salad is by far a healthier choice, filled with more protein and when paired with fresh homemade hummus, avocado and mozzarella is quite a delight.
The very first, twenty-eighteen addition to The Art of the Salad series — crafting creative and nutrient rich bowls of green. I very much have an affinity for fruit in savory dishes, especially mixed into a fresh leafy salad. What is better in summer than Sangria? I'm always looking for ways to mix it up and create new inventive drinks. Sangria being one of my classic - easy , go -to drinks, I tend to make it often. Especially when a group is involved. This time, I wanted to combine sangria, with two of my favorite components-- strawberry and rose. Lemonade is kinda one of the best - refreshing drinks, ever created. There is literally an endless array of options when it comes to spicing it up as well, and this time -- lemongrass was the obvious choice. It's super simple and add's a bit of a kick to the already delicious drink. If you choose to squeeze your own, or buy a freshly squeezed carton- there is no way to go wrong. Make sure to decorate it and use some extra fresh lemongrass as stirs!
